I am definitely into decorating for holidays and seasons not using the typical seasonal colors! I wanted a harvest feeling pillow that would last me from September through Thanksgiving for my living room. Instead of using the typical orange, yellow, brown, and red colors I coordinated the pillow to my living room. I purchased a warm rustic green linen colored fabric and shades of white felt for the leaves. I ordered two packs of these felt leaves from Etsy. They are taupe, ivory, and white and three different shapes.
I pinned the first layer of felt leaves in a circle and then using different color thread to match each color of felt I sewed the leaves on to the pillow where the veins would be on a leaf.
Is the pillow pretty? I just love how it turned out. I love the texture of the layers of leaves and the pillow fabric. It is the perfect fall addition to my living room.
